Sisu Mountain Guides is an adventurous yet responsible company operating in Switzerland, offering year-round mountain guide services. The brand emphasizes courage, activity, and approachability.
A distinctive look and website for a mountain guide company
The challenge
The company primarily offers its services in Central Europe. The challenge lies in the numerous competitors and standing out from them. Varied services also need to be presented as engagingly and clearly as possible on the new website.
My role
I coordinated and managed the entire project and its scheduling. I was responsible for designing and implementing the company's new look and logo. Based on the new visual identity, I designed the website's user experience and interface using Figma. I developed the website on the Webflow platform. After the site launch, I provided a training session for the client on how to use the site.
Solution
My goal was to create a clear, cohesive, and brand-reflective visual identity for the company, based on a combination of brand colors, typography, graphic elements, and photography. The color scheme, in particular, aims to stand out from competitors. The website provides a straightforward customer journey with its clear and airy design.
The design process began with a brief competitor analysis, based on which I presented the client with a couple of different options for the new brand identity. The process progressed through regular client meetings. The wireframes and layouts for the website were completed in about two months. After starting the Webflow development, we refined the content further based on keyword research.
The site actively aims to build a sense of trust and directs visitors towards the company's services, thereby facilitating the collection of inquiries.

Reflection
This project, which lasted several months, taught me a lot about project management, communication, and scheduling. To achieve the best possible outcome, every stage of the process must be carefully planned in terms of both actions and scheduling.
The most challenging aspect of the website was understanding the wide range of services and designing a clear way to present them. However, I feel that I succeeded in it, and as a result, we delivered a clear and consistent summary of each of Sisu Mountain Guides' services utilizing Webflow's CMS feature.
I feel that my skills have deepened in the area of visual design as well. I researched a lot about typography and color theory to find the best options for this project. I also familiarized myself with creating Lottie animations.
